Located in Agia Paraskevi, Halkidiki, Ajul Luxury Hotel & Spa Resort is a five-star seaside retreat that redefines contemporary Greek hospitality. Part of the international Registry Collection Hotels by Zeus International, Ajul is positioned between the pine-covered hills of the Kassandra peninsula and the clear waters of the Aegean Sea, combining high-end accommodation with a deep connection to nature.
The resort spans a generous natural landscape, housing 171 accommodation units across multiple typologies: deluxe rooms, family rooms with shared pools, sea-view bungalows (some with private pools), executive suites, and prestige and royal villas with panoramic views and high-end amenities. Its zoning strategy is structured around four key areas: accommodation, wellness, recreation, and gastronomy & entertainment. This masterplan allows for both expansive activity and cultivated seclusion.
The shared facilities reflect this balance: seven outdoor pools, an indoor pool, a wellness and spa center with hammam, sauna, massage rooms, and yoga spaces, as well as courts for tennis, basketball, volleyball, football, and an adventure park. Culinary offerings are distributed across three restaurants and six bars, while over 600 square meters are dedicated to conferences and events.
The architectural approach by WeDesign Lab translates the Ajul brand into a built environment that is spatially composed, emotionally grounded, and materially refined. Their role extended across masterplanning, interior design, landscape design, and the detailed development of the high-end wellness program.
The design language is calm and restrained, defined by natural light, tactile materials, and soft spatial transitions. Architecture is treated not as spectacle, but as a backdrop for personal moments of rest and reconnection. Visual corridors, verandas, and open-air walkways establish a rhythm that supports stillness and awareness. Each unit is carefully placed and oriented to ensure privacy, using natural elevation, vegetation, and spatial distance to shape small pockets of seclusion.
The site’s natural features were preserved and respected. Mature trees remain integral to the layout, topography was maintained, and built volumes follow rather than resist the landscape. Materials and finishes were selected for their connection to local craft and setting, favouring quiet textures over decorative gestures. Rather than quoting tradition, the design draws from it discreetly, transforming local architectural memory into clear, contemporary forms.
